Day 2950

Bridger's History Book

We've had the tv/radio for a while, picked it up in a deserted fix it shop on the outskirts of the city. It was one of those little portable models you could buy at any department store, and it was still sitting on the counter like its former owner had just stepped out.

We've turned it on once a day ever since, even after all this time. I'm not sure what it is we hope to find, could there be anyone left that has anything to offer? The Silver Man had always hoped so.

So we make an attempt every day that we can, we climb to a high spot and extend the old antenna and tune through the dials, listening carefully. We occasionally pick up what sounds like weak radio signals, a pause in the static as if someone a great way off is trying to break through, but no real words, no wisdom, no real hope.

We can only afford to turn it on a few minutes each day, the old batteries won't last forever.
